New Union Database and Other Business
As you are aware, communications from the
Union have been all too few and far between
since April of this year. Endless problems with our database eventually led to it being scrapped and, with the generous assistance of the school, a new
database was purchased and installed over
the summer.
New databases bring with them teething problems. Our first e-mailshot from the new system was issued at the end of August but we are aware that many of you never received it. Please be assured that Elaine is
working hard to rectify this and normal service will resume as soon as possible. Please bear with us in the interim.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Elaine McKenna, Union Administrator, for all the hard work she does for the Union. It would literally grind to a halt if it were not for her hard work and dedication.
Thank you, Elaine.
I would also like to thank all of the committee
many of whom have served for many years. Thanks to the school representative Fiachra Etchingham and a special mention for Fr Brennan SJ who continues
to represent the Jesuit Community. Finally, thank you to all of the Past Pupils who have supported and made the Union Events during the year.
